Product FAQs

Is the Flow Rounded Square in white well suited to a contemporary commercial office interior?

It works particularly well in corporate offices with a minimalist or clean aesthetic, where the ceiling and interior palette are light in tone. A white fitting integrates into the architecture rather than sitting as a distinct object against it, which is the right call in spaces where the lighting is meant to feel considered rather than conspicuous. For high-spec executive offices and client-facing meeting rooms where the brief calls for restraint and refinement, the white profile contributes to a cohesive, uncluttered overhead plane while still delivering the geometric softness and output quality the Flow Rounded Square is built around. The 4000K daylight option keeps the environment sharp and professional, while 3000K is worth considering for spaces where a warmer, more premium feel is the priority.

Why does a CRI of over 90Ra matter on a feature fitting like the Flow Rounded Square?

CRI, or Colour Rendering Index, measures how accurately a light source renders the true colours of surfaces and materials compared to natural daylight. At CRI >90Ra, the Flow Rounded Square is rendering colours at a level where finishes, fabrics, artwork, and skin tones all appear close to how they would look under natural light. For a feature fitting positioned as a centrepiece in a reception or boardroom, this matters more than it would for a back-of-house batten. Poor colour rendering makes interiors feel flat and washed out regardless of how well they were specified on paper. At CRI >90Ra you are protecting the quality of the entire interior scheme beneath the fitting, not just the light output itself.

Should I specify the Flow Rounded Square in 3000K or 4000K for a commercial office?

For the majority of open-plan offices and task-focused workspaces, 4000K is the standard specification. The neutral daylight tone supports concentration, keeps the environment feeling alert, and aligns with most workplace lighting guidance. However, for reception areas, executive offices, or client-facing rooms where a warmer, more premium atmosphere is part of the brief, 3000K is worth considering. The warmer tone makes materials like timber, leather, and stone look richer, and creates an environment that feels more considered and less functional. If the Flow Rounded Square is being used as a centrepiece in a space where the hospitality feel of a high-end office matters, 3000K often produces a more refined result than the crisper 4000K output.
