Collection: Shop & Retail Lighting

At Linear Lights, we offer retail lighting solutions designed to balance ambient and accent lighting for a superior in-store experience. Ambient lighting sets the overall mood, while accent lighting draws attention to key products and displays.

Our linear lighting systems can be combined with fully tiltable spotlights, ideal for highlighting promotions and creating layers of light that add contrast, drama, and atmosphere within your store.

All our fittings feature an excellent Colour Rendering Index (CRI) of over 90Ra, ensuring true-to-life colours which is essential for fashion, cosmetics, and other retail products.

With bespoke options in optics, finishes, sizes, and shapes, our solutions can be tailored to your store’s layout and branding, helping to enhance customer engagement, highlight products, and maximise sales.

FAQs for Retail Lighting

What CRI should retail lighting have?

Retail spaces should use lighting with a colour rendering index of at least Ra 90, especially in fashion, fresh food, beauty and jewellery where accurate colour reproduction directly affects sales. A higher CRI means products on display look closer to how they will look in natural light. Contact us with your lighting requirements for us to find the ideal lighting.

What is the best colour temperature for shops?

Most retail uses 3000K warm white for clothing, hospitality and beauty, and 4000K daylight for supermarkets, electronics and convenience. Some categories such as bakery and butchery use specific tuned LEDs to enhance specific product colours, which our in-house design team can advise on.

Can retail lighting be customised to a brand's identity?

Yes. We can create custom lengths, shapes and finishes, and our RGBW linear range supports brand colour-changing scenes. This is useful for retailers who want the lighting to support seasonal campaigns, store-of-the-future concepts or specific brand colours at fascia level.
