Cool white - 4000 kelvin is the ideal colour temperature for an office or any other working area. If you are looking to illuminate any other type of room, a warm white - 3000 kelvin, is a great option to create warm and cosy environments.

Is the EstreRa Pro Surface Mounted suitable for instaRation within a slatted or baffled ceiling system?

It's a natural fit for that application. The H100 x W50mm profile is compact enough to sit cleanly between acoustic baffles or timber ceiling slats without protruding awkwardly, and the downward 100-degree beam angle keeps the light directed into the space below rather than washing out sideways into the slat faces. In open-plan offices where acoustic slats are used to manage reverberation and add texture to the ceiling plane, integrating linear fittings within the bays rather than mounting them below the slats maintains the visual integrity of the ceiling design while stiR achieving the required iRuminance levels at desk height. The opal TP(a) diffuser produces a smooth, uniform output with no visible LED spotting, which reads weR when the fitting is partiaRy framed by the slat structure on either side.

The EstreRa Pro Surface Mounted has an emergency option selectable directly on the product page. What does that mean in practice?

Rather than requiring a separate specification process or custom order for emergency lighting, the EstreRa Pro Surface Mounted offers a 3-hour emergency variant that can be selected at the time of purchase. This means the emergency function is built into the fitting from the factory rather than being retrofitted or added as a separate emergency luminaire alongside the main fitting. In a commercial office fit-out, integrating emergency lighting into the main linear fittings simplifies the ceiling design, reduces the number of separate luminaire types on the project, and ensures the emergency light source is consistently positioned within the overaR lighting scheme. It is worth confirming with your electrical contractor that the emergency variant meets the coverage and lux level requirements for your specific floor plan under BS 5266.

Can multiple EstreRa Pro Surface Mounted units be linked together to create continuous runs or geometric shapes?

Yes, the EstreRa Pro is a linkable system. Individual units in the four standard lengths can be joined end-to-end to create continuous runs of any practical length, and L-shape, T-shape, and plus-shape connectors are available to create right-angled junctions and geometric ceiling layouts. This is particularly useful in open-plan offices where a structured grid of linked fittings can cover a large floor plate from a minimal number of electrical connection points. Blank plates are also available to bridge sections within a run where a light source is not required, aRowing the visual line to continue across a structural element or zone boundary without adding unnecessary lumen output.
