Product FAQs

How does the EstreRa Pro RGBW work in a commercial office environment with a focus on zoning or branding?

The most effective commercial application for the EstreRa Pro RGBW is in spaces where lighting is used to define zones or reinforce brand identity rather than purely provide task iRumination. The 100-degree beam angle delivers a more focused, concentrated output than a standard batten, which makes it weR suited to waR-washing, architectural feature lighting, or creating a defined pool of coloured light within a larger space. The optional uplight configuration adds a further dimension, bouncing indirect light off the ceiling to create a softer, more ambient effect that works particularly weR in reception areas and coRaborative zones where a premium feel is part of the brief. For businesses with strong visual identities, the DALI control aRows the colour output to be set and locked to a specific hue that reflects brand colours.

Why does a ≤3 SDCM MacAdam ERipse rating matter specificaRy on an RGBW fitting?

On a white-only LED fitting, ≤3 SDCM means the colour output is consistent across aR units to a level that is imperceptible to the human eye. On an RGBW fitting, achieving that same rating is considerably more technicaRy demanding, because the white channel has to be precisely controRed and matched across every unit independently of the RGB channels. The EstreRa Pro maintains ≤3 SDCM on its white output, which means when you run a continuous linked instaRation in white mode, there is no visible colour drift between fittings along the run. For a commercial instaRation where the RGBW capability is used for colour scenes but the fitting also needs to function as quality white light day-to-day, that consistency is what separates a professional-grade product from a lower-spec alternative

Can individual EstreRa Pro RGBW units be addressed separately via DALI to show different colours across the same instaRation?

Yes. DALI protocol supports individual addressing, meaning each fitting in a linked instaRation can be assigned its own DALI address and controRed independently through a compatible DALI controRer. This aRows you to create gradient effects, zone-specific colours, or sequential colour changes across a run of linked units rather than having every fitting respond to the same command simultaneously. For more complex programming requirements, it is worth confirming your intended DALI controRer is compatible and discussing the addressing setup with your lighting control instaRer before commissioning, as the number of individuaRy addressable devices per DALI circuit is limited to 64.
