Product FAQs
How are the two sections joined, and will the join be visible once installed?
Should I specify 3000K or 4000K for a 2.5m linear run?
The fitting delivers 960 lumens per metre, so a full 2.5m run produces around 2,400 lumens downwards at a 120 degree beam angle. That is the right output for feature and ambient lighting, and it is not enough to light a general office space on its own. Flow is a slim architectural fitting rather than a high output workhorse. Over a reception desk, a bar front, a meeting table or a corridor it gives you a clean, continuous line of light and a comfortable level of illumination for that zone. For an open plan office where you need to meet the 500 lux maintained level on the working plane set out in BS EN 12464-1, you would use several runs across the space, or combine Flow with a higher output fitting and let Flow do the architectural work. Send us your room dimensions, ceiling height and layout and our in-house lighting designers will produce a lux calculation at no charge, so you know exactly what you will achieve before you order.
